As we age our collagen and elastin production begins to slow. Thus, causing our faces to lose volume and your once defined facial features. Not only does age affect excess drooping skin, but weight loss, lifestyle, and genetics can all be factors. Many turn to surgical options to help tighten and reduce the appearance of sagging skin. However, not everyone is forthcoming when having to go under the knife for cosmetic procedures. In this article, the experts at Glamor Medical in Boca Raton have compiled the best non-surgical face contouring treatments on the market.
Ultherapy
One of the newest treatments to the lineup, Ultherapy is the Gold Standard for nonsurgical lifting and skin tightening treatments. Ultherapy uses micro-focused ultrasound energy to activate the body’s natural regenerative response, which results in the development of new collagen and elastin. Thus, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while lifting and tightening your skin.
Ultherapy stimulates the production of our own collagen by elevating tissue and reaching deeper into the skin. With ultrasound imaging, your provider can look under the skin’s surface into the deeper layers of tissue, rather than treating blindly. As a result, you are able to map out your face and highlight the collagen-rich layers that will respond best to treatment. Allowing for a customized treatment plan tailored to your skin’s needs, resulting in natural-looking results that only get better with time.
Collagen Thread
Collagen threads are also a less invasive option when wanting to promote collagen growth and give your face a natural lift. During treatment, absorbable sutures called PDO (Polydioxanone) are strategically placed under the skin, lifting, tightening, and contouring the face.
PDO has been used in medicine for over 30 years because of its safety, predictability, and reliability. Doctors use PDO as a suture for both cardiovascular and orthopedic operations. Within 4-6 months, your body dissolves the sutures completely, leaving no scar tissue behind.
During these 4-6 months, your body treats the sutures as an injury, promoting collagen and elastin production while trying to “heal” the “injury.” Leaving you with an overall lifted appearance, as well as reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Kybella
The injectable double chin treatment, Kybella, is a prescription drug that helps improve the appearance of fat under the chin area. Deoxycholic acid, also known as cholanoic acid, is the active component in Kybella. Deoxycholic is a synthetic version of a chemical that aids in the natural breakdown of fat in the body, preventing fat accumulation and storage.
During treatment, a series of injections are placed in the jawline area under the chin. Thus, destroying the fat cells for good. Kybella is a fat-dissolving agent that works overtime gradually killing the cells. As well as eliminating the possibility for fat to store or accumulate in this area. With Kybella there is no need for long-term or maintenance treatment.
Injectables
Fillers are the perfect way to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, restore volume, and improve facial contouring without surgery. Dermal fillers are FDA-approved for treating multiple areas of the face. Including lips, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, smokers’ lines, under the eyes, cheeks, and jawline, among other areas. What is the best part about choosing injectables as your contouring treatment, it isn’t permanent.
Fillers dissolve over time. Which helps those clients who aren’t in love with their results. Or, individuals who want to start slow and build up over time. So no long-term commitment is ever necessary.

I haven’t heard of these. I love that there are non-surgical options for those of us that don’t want to have surgery.
I had no idea that some of these existed. It’s nice to know there are options to rejuvenate our faces without having to go under the knife.
I didn’t know there are so many alternatives to plastic surgery. I’m definitely intrigued by the Collagen thread procedure. Thanks for sharing!
Can’t say it’s something I’ve ever considered due to having to be injected. But I know someone who would love the non-invasive method.
This is what I need. The unwanted sagging and wrinkles are starting to show up now on my face. Thanks for sharing this
Whoah, there are lots of treatments to choose from! Thanks for the info 🙂
Wow….Collagen Thread is the deal, for me! I almost didn’t recognise the woman in the “after” photo!
I’ve been using serums for the past coupe years and have noticed a major difference. Even others have commented.
I tried having dermal fillers before (using Restylane) and based on my experience, it did give me a very desirable result. I prefer it coz it is soluble over time. No downtime and I didn’t experience bad side effects.
I do get botox a few times a year and so far thats all I’ve done!
I didn’t know you could contour your face in a non-surgical way. I’ve learned a lot in your blog post 🙂
